The Follow the Money during its data mining session found that the Border Communities Development Agency will be constructing Cottage in  Arongwa, Autonomous Community In Osisioma, Umuejie, Ngwa LGA In Abia State. Our preliminary visit to the community showed that Arongwa in Osisioma, is an independent community with an estimated population of about  1500 and has no PHC.

They had to go the neighbouring village to get little medical assistance. The community claims not to be aware of the appropriation on the NDDC project. This project when completely executed will assist this community in accessing quality healthcare, mobilize community health, build human capacity and improve the general well-being of the community.

We have initiated #BuildArongwa campaign to track the construction of Cottage Hospital. We invite the public and all concerned stakeholders especially BCDA  to get involved in the campaign and provide all necessary information regarding this project so that the people of Arongwa will have access to a consistent and affordable healthcare facility.

Follow the Money Team Petition the Stakeholders

27 February 2018: Having not heard from the NDDC on details sought regarding the project implementation such as the contract award documents, successful contractor details, actual project amount and bill of quantities, as well as confirming that no sort of implementation had started at the community, we wrote a petition to the ICPC, EFCC, Auditor-General of the Federation and the National Assembly (Senate and House of Reps) to conduct investigation over the project.
