Kaduna State Government in 2016 launched the Health is Wealth campaign to boost the health sector. The state government planned to modernize a total of 255 Primary Health Care centers, one in each ward across the state, equipped with items like ultrasound scans and other tools that can assist delivery. Madachi is a community in Kauru LGA of Kaduna state and one of the beneficiaries of the 255 PHC which is funded by the Paris club fund. CODE through its Follow The Money initiative has sought to ensure rural communities have access to these basic social infrastructures by empowering communities to demand and ensure adequate implementation of such projects. CODE during its data mining found the tender advertisement by Kaura Local Government Council to construct a PHC at Madachi, Kaduna State.
To provide oversight and foster information sharing between the implementing agency and the beneficiary community on the implementation of this project, FTM team is initiating #BuildMadachi campaign. We call on all stakeholders especially the Kaura Local Government Council to provide necessary information that will aid the successful monitoring and implementation of this project.
